August 17, 2022. Zurich, Switzerland – After a three-year hiatus, the CEIBS European Alumni Reunion returns to our campus on the shores of Lake Zurich on September 2-3.

Hosted by Dean Yuan Ding, the event aims to provide knowledge sharing, learning, networking, culture, and of course, lots of fun! It returns for the first time since Paris in 2019, due to the pandemic, Therefore, this year’s event will offer alums the chance to celebrate being together once again.

Day one will be packed with talks and sessions on topics such as the future of work, what’s next in Web3, and debates on diversity quotas. Ivan Gonzalez, CEO Reinsurance China & China Country President at Swiss Re will give a talk on the importance of the business relationship between China and Switzerland whilst CEIBS alumnae, and Managing Director and Head of Asia at Bordier & Cie, Banquiers Privés Victoria Wu will talk about China’s role in the world.

The majority of speakers will join the discussions in person in Zurich, while some faculty and industry figures will dial-in to give their talks from locations across the world.

The day of learning will be followed by a Swiss-themed networking dinner in downtown Zurich where participants will dine at the ‘Zunfthaus’ or Guildhall. To kick off the evening, a so-called ‘Zuntfmeister’ (a master of the guildhall) will speak about the history of the Guildhalls and its importance in Swiss culture and tradition, before moving onto a traditional Swiss meal.

Day two will start with an optional lakeside walk, and optional yoga session, before participants jump into Alumni Chapter Coffee Chats, to get to know each other and discuss and contribute ideas for the future of their network in Europe.

Attendees then choose from one of two workshops: Mastering Innovation or Building and Leading High-performance Teams, led by CEIBS Zurich Campus CEO Robert Straw.

The reunion will wrap up with a farewell lunch on campus before everyone departs for their home city.
