This year, with numerous local Chinese companies going global, there was an increase in demand for high-profile international talents. Leveraging this trend, the CDC held their 2nd annual ‘Localization Programme for International Talents’ and also launched the inaugural Chinese Enterprise Forum. Following the theme of “Stepping Forward with Globalizing Chinese Enterprises”, the forum nurtured student career interests in local enterprises and also provided a platform for recruiters to meet with MBAs. This year, Chinese enterprises hired a similar number of graduates as their foreign counterparts, with four Chinese enterprises appearing in the top ten list of MBA recruiters. In terms of working location, 79.3% of placed international students landed jobs in Asia with 44.8% of those students gaining employment in China.
CEIBS MBA Programme moved up to #8 on the Financial Times 2018 ranking of global business schools, maintaining its position as # 1 in Asia. Thanks to the effort and initiatives launched by the CDC, CEIBS MBA graduates continue to be among those with the highest salary increase percentage when compared with pre-MBA levels. The CDC regularly organises activities that facilitate employment opportunities for MBA students. Recent activities have included overseas career treks to places such as Germany and Silicon Valley, participation in IESE’s job fair and reciprocal collaborations with Harvard, INSEAD, LBS, IESE, IE, and UCLA.
