October 27, 2020. Shanghai/Zurich – The official inauguration ceremony for student ambassadors of the CEIBS MBA Class of 2022 was held simultaneously at Shanghai and Zurich campuses today. A total of 30 representatives were selected to be student ambassadors.

Representing 15 countries and regions, the current batch of student ambassadors is expected to promote CEIBS’ brand and help the school recruit the best talent by hosting information sessions and coffee chats, both within and outside of China.

CEIBS Associate Dean and MBA Programme Director Professor Shameen Prashantham also addressed the ambassadors at the event, congratulating them on their appointment and encouraging them to exercise personal leadership. Connected via videoconferencing from Switzerland, CEIBS Zurich Campus CEO Dr. Robert Straw also welcomed the ambassadors and spoke about the critical responsibilities their new position entails.

Following an oath-taking ceremony and passionate speeches by eight student ambassador presidential candidates, Alan Liu (China) and Cindy Mei (USA) were elected to be President and Vice President, respectively.

At the end of the ceremony, Simon Liang, President of the 2021 student ambassadors, shared his experience and mission with the new ambassadors and encouraged them to develop their personal strengths, to innovate and to actively assume their ambassadorial responsibilities and attract more outstanding applicants to the school.
